One of the few reference texts on Mead, this book not only describes the creation and production processes, but also places mead in the context of the modern cocktail scene. My favorite part of the book was the historical anecdotes, talking about how various cultures appreciated mead, from Vikings to Mongols to Romans to Egyptians.  Despite its limited presence on menus today, mead looms large in the history of alcohol consumption. Recommended for history buffs, home brewers, and bartenders looking for a new ingredient to play with.
